Together at 12th Calls for Support, Tells People to Pre-Book 5 Course Meal

The restaurant Industry which is greatly hit by the outbreak of Coronavirus is finding new ways to revive its business. Now that the lockdown in India has been stretched more and there is no certainty of when will things get back to normal, restaurants across the world are asking for support on social platforms.

For instance, Together at 12th  has opened up its advance 5-course meal booking called ‘Together Thank You meal’ for its customers. In this, a customer can pre-book his meal to support this restaurant reeking under the losses due to the outbreak. The 5-course meal with two signature cocktails for Rs 2500 will be specially curated by chefs to give a unique experience to its customers.

“In these uncertain times, we are not able to serve our customers and in light of pausing normal operations to ensure the safety of our guests and our team, we want to open future reservations for a special 5-course chef’s table experience,” the restaurant said. It further promises to give customers the experience of a lifetime in lieu of giving them a helping hand in these tough times.

Chef Vanshika Bhatiya, on a video uploaded on Instagram, said, “We have around 40 plus members in our team, whose families are supported by all of the customers coming to us. We are working very hard to support everyone in our team and in these difficult times we would like to ask for our customers’ support.”

Nitin Tiwari, who is the partner at Together at 12th told Restaurant India that this initiative was inspired by the Danish chef Rene Redzepi who runs a two Michelin Star restaurant in Denmark called Noma, which is taking a similar initiative. “This is something which was inspired by Rene, who runs Noma. They have launched gift cards for people to purchase in advance. He also mentioned in his talk that local restaurants should also initiate this. We also follow his work very closely and we admire the kind of work he has done in his life.”

He also says that the dishes for the thank you meal have not been decided yet. He says, “As of now we don’t have any timeline for this and as a restaurant, we source locally fresh ingredients. So, whenever we open our restaurant, we will figure this out. The idea is to serve the meal which will be the best meal we ever served at our restaurant.”

More than bookings, we want to aware people that how the restaurant industry needs people’s support right now, he said.
