Britannia plans to overtake Parle

Britannia Industries is planning to invest Rs 150-200 crore over the next two years to overtake Parle, the number one biscuit maker in the country.

Speaking on 95^th general meeting of the company, Nusli Wadia, Chairman, Britannia Industries, said, “Britannia's share of the biscuit market increased by more than 1.2 percent in the last fiscal. The difference with Parle is just 3 percent which is not much and we want to bridge it in the next three years.”

The company is planning to invest in launching the new products, expand capacity and upgrade technology.
