Alto Vino, the Italian restaurant in Bangalore is organising Carretto Siciliano, a culinary fair which is famous for seafood.
The festival will showcase some traditional Sicilian delicacies by head chef, Chef Alfonso Montefusco. The dishes offered by the restaurant are Spiedini (breaded chicken, bay leaf with a spicy dip), Beccafico (stuffed sardines, pine seeds, black olives), Polio (octopus stew with Nero Davila wine) and Arancini (rice dumpling with vegetable ragout).
The main course comprises Angelo (slow cooked lamb shank with caponise), Imbottiti (stuffed calamari, slow cooked tomato sauce) and Norma (eggplants, seasoned ricotta) along with the desserts Cassata, Cannoli (chocolate ricotta) and Tiramisu.
