European Food Programme in Mumbai

European Quality Food: Eating with Your 5 Senses, a programme promoting exotic food and wine through the development of five senses: touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing, is taking another step to familiarise food and beverage lovers with European cuisine and the Mediterranean balanced diet by carrying out master classes and seminars in the schools of its forthcoming chefs in Mumbai during the months of July and August.

The programme co-financed by the European Union; the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment of Spain; and the Spanish Food and Beverage Industry Federation (FIAB), aims at spreading and promoting knowledge of the European cooking methods, its ingredients and gastronomy among the future opinion leaders of India.

This activity is designed specifically for the best 10 hotel management and culinary institutes in Mumbai targeting students and school teachers to have deeper knowledge about the core assets of European gastronomy.

European chef  Mr. Nicolas Roman will introduce these institutes the art of understanding European cooking methods and its quality, the properties of various exotic Mediterranean ingredients and how to combine them to prepare healthy-balanced diet platters.

Through the presentation of European Kitchen book and the workshops, students will be involved in preparing master level recipes using exciting ingredients.

This is the second annuity when the programme is taking place in India. Last February, still the first year of the programme, the same activity was organised in the best chef schools in Delhi NCR, where three European chefs presented the European Tapas Cooking Book, since the programme intends to cover main Indian metros.
