Former promoter of Shantha Biotechnics acquires Hyderabad House

Food Krafters & Services LLP (FKS), a company promoted by Khalil Ahmed, the former promoter and ED of Shantha Biotechnics (now owned by Sanofi), has acquired Hyderabad House famous for its Biryani and Kebabs.

Known for making, Kacche Ghost ki Biryani, Kebabs and Haleem for decades, the brand has more than dozen outlets running across the city.

With this acquisition, FKS intends to rebrand Hyderabad House in an all new design and provide traditional culinary experience to its patrons in a semi quick service restaurant format.

“The deal would enable Food Krafters establish a foothold in the food retail industry. Hyderabad House fits well in our scheme of things and we intend to grow and expand using this brand name. Our objective is to do business while celebrating our traditional Indian culture, and we want everyone to get a taste of it. With every dish we serve, we strive to bring our heritage to life,” shared Khalil Ahmed, Managing Director, Food Krafters & Services LLP.

The company will also open a flagship outlet in Hyderabad and will expand its reach across the country investing Rs 35 crore over the next two years.

The group is aiming at opening over 50 outlets through a combination of company owned and franchisee route.

Meanwhile, FKS will also set up a central commissary at each regional hub which will cater to the outlets in that territory.

FKS will also bring on board a fresh team of expert Professional Chefs and Traditional Master Chefs with varied experience.

It plans to further strengthen Hyderabad House’s catering business for on-site services for weddings, corporate events, conferences and other private banquets in addition to the Distinctive “Mehmaan Nawaazi” service.
