ITC to open food plant in Punjab

ITC, the Indian multi-sector corporation, has planned to open an integrated food and consumer goods manufacturing and logistics facility at Kapurthala, Punjab.

According to a Spokesperson at ITC, “The USD-113 million facility will manufacture world-class Indian brands including spices, salt brand Aashirvaad, Delishus biscuits and Bingo! Chips.

The company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Punjab Government enabling the plant to be set up at an industrial park in Kapurthala. ITC is expected to build the plant within three years employing about 2,000 people.
