Magnolia Bakery Expands with Second Store in Mumbai’s Worli

Magnolia Bakery, known for its range of freshly baked desserts including cupcakes, cakes, pies, cheesecakes, and its signature banana pudding, has opened its second outlet in Mumbai. The new store, located in the Worli neighborhood, launched on August 28, 2024. 

The bakery, originally established in 1996 on Bleecker Street in New York City’s West Village, has since grown into an internationally recognized brand, offering its desserts in a welcoming atmosphere. Brought to India by Spago Foods in 2019, this marks Magnolia Bakery’s eighth location in the country.

Magnolia Bakery operates corporately owned locations in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles in the United States, while franchise outlets are spread across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Amman, Doha, Manila, and Istanbul.

Zonu Reddy, Partner at Spago Foods and Magnolia Bakery's India franchise holder said, "We are excited to open our second Magnolia Bakery store in Mumbai. The customer response since we first launched in Bangalore five years ago has been encouraging, motivating us to plan for further expansion across India. Our first Mumbai store is in Bandra, and we are eager to cater to the South Mumbai audience while offering our iconic Magnolia Bakery favorites as we approach the festive season."

The new 1,000 sq. ft. store in Worli, located at the Raheja Altimus building, offers both indoor and al fresco seating. Customers can enjoy watching the cupcake and cake decoration process or relax with freshly brewed coffee while indulging in the bakery's renowned desserts. 

This opening strengthens Magnolia Bakery’s presence in India, further positioning itself as a key player in the country’s evolving bakery and dessert market.
