Known for its classics as well as new additions like the Asian Tahkohs, Mamagoto is all set tocaprute the eastern local market with its flavours.
Rahul Khanna, Co-founder, Mamagoto, said to ET, "There seems to be now a calling for brands towards the burgeoning new generation that wants choice - they’re looking for experiential, discerning concepts and it seems the time is ripe for this. I won’t be surprised in 20-30 brands make the trip to Calcutta and open up shortly."
He also added, "All azure brands are looking to expand nationally and in select markets abroad which are approximately 15-20 restaurants a year. Yes we would love to open another one or two Mamagoto restaurant in and bring Dhaba by Claridges to the city soon as well."

Greek Restaurant Thalassa in Goa is open for delivery and takeaway in the city. Their new takeaway place is now located in Anjuna . “We are also happy to deliver to you (our entire menu items are also available but require 24 hours notice, and there is also a minimum order requirement) Stay safe Goa,” said the statement. It is presently delivering to Anjuna, Arpora, Assagaon, Siolim and Vagator for a minimum billing of RS 500.

Restaurants and bars in the country to remain shut during the nationwide lockdown which ends on May 3 as per the new guidelines issued by the govt on Wednesday.
However, dhabas (eateries) alongside highways will remain open, the Union Home Ministry said in the guidelines.
During the first phase of the lockdown, many truck drivers were reportedly stranded without food as states sealed their borders and refused entry.
The sector has also supported the Hon’ble Prime Minister in fulfilling his vision of compassion and care for the underprivileged and daily wage earners during the current crisis. In his address to the nation earlier today, PM Modi appealed to every Indian to accord topmost priority to providing food to the daily wage workers.
Meanwhile, restaurant industry is continuously asking for help from the Govt to stop the sector from loosing employees and workers. On Monday, NRAI also wrote a letter to Niti Ayog for unemployment pay cover to all employees covered under the ESIC Act in full till lockdown and 50% post that till March-2021. The Restaurant Industry with an annual turnover of approximately INR 4 Lakh Crore and providing direct employment to over 7 million Indians is in a very precarious situation currently, fighting a grim battle for its basic survival.
Happy Thai, India’s first indigenous authentic Asian fast-casual dining chain, will soon launch its first restaurant in Worli, Mumbai. The 85-seater restaurant will be offering authentic Thai and Japanese cuisine.
The food menu provides a compilation of Thai and Japanese favourites, which are prepared whilst preserving the authentic flavours. It consists Creamy Spicy Rock Shrimp, Miso Nasushiglyaki, Ultimate Gyozas, Green Papaya Salad, Yummy Yellow Tail, and Freshwater Tuna and Jalapenos.

Set up by Chef Manu Chandra and hospitality operations expert Chetan Rampal, the popular Asian restaurant is bringing its famous gigantic baos and Panda chopsticks to the city.
Located at Sangam Courtyard, the décor is minimal yet colorful with pendant lamps shaped like ramen bowls, chopsticks and wires shaped like noodles, colorful crockery designed in-house and lots of wall art.
The menu includes Baos steamed buns found in Chinese and Asian meals, sushi, chasu ramen, pork belly, lots of seafood (Fatty Oysters, Miso Cod, Salmon Carpaccio), truffles and a variety of drinks including Mickey Ninja, Fatty Sour and Mandalay Bay, a classic cocktails with a Fatty Bao twist.
