Casual dining chain Pizza Hut is planning to expand its operations amidst the covid crisis, especially in tier-I cities.
The pizza chain has seen a rise in delivery orders during the crisis and is focusing on improvisation of the delivery segment looking at the current trend.
“Even when majority of the stores were shut during lockdown, we haven’t seen any dip in demand from tier-I cities where we have the maximum number of outlets,” shared Merrill Pereyra, MD, Pizza Hut that is currently calibrating their plans for next year, focusing on the delivery segment, tier-I cities.”

Pizza Hut has also upgraded its digital assets and will continue to invest in it for better sales.
They have introduced the on-the-go takeaway service for customer convenience.
“Digital transactions are playing a key role in this new normal and hence we are ensuring that our digital capabilities and platforms are geared to handle the increased scope. We are also using several location data and geofencing tools to enable us to increase our delivery efficiencies,” he added.

Even when the dine-in sector has been in a slump, the company is experiencing immense increase in sales due to its far reach, enhanced takeaway facility, hassle-free digital channels and stringent precautionary measures.
Pizza Hut focuses on future expansions, plans modification of the delivery segment.
