Railways to sell pre-cooked meals

Indian Railways is planning to sell pre-cooked meals from MTR and ITC in its premium trains.

Commenting on it, , Devi Prasad Pande, Member-Traffic, Railway Board, said, “Premium trains are run on high-demand routes and have dynamic fares, 2-3 times higher than the Rajadhani. Tickets for such trains can only be booked online and the rates are inclusive of food. The Railways now wants to serve better food on these trains and brand them as a special category.”
