Co-owned by Keya Biswas and her son, Sayak Biswas, this 10,500-square-foot space combines upscale dining with an inviting ambiance that sets a refined tone for Kolkata’s patrons. The lounge is designed to offer an elegant yet lively atmosphere with ambient lighting, plush seating, and distinctive chandeliers, crafting an engaging environment for guests.
Every element in The Flamboyant has been curated to merge classic design touches with modern aesthetics, from the bar’s vibrant hues to the mezzanine seating, which adds a layer of exclusivity to the setting. This attention to detail creates an experience-oriented environment that appeals to Kolkata’s discerning diners.
The Flamboyant menu emphasizes authenticity with an array of dishes and cocktails crafted from high-quality ingredients sourced directly from their origins. Divided into "Asian Delights" and "Western Wonders," the menu offers a variety of small plates, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Standout items include the vegetarian Cigare Boregi a la Kolkata, a golden-fried pastry filled with cheese and herbs, paired with Naga chili cigars and a spicy tomato dip; Beetroot Shikampuri Kebab, with a spicy filling and pistachio crust; Creamy Goat Cheese Canapé with tzatziki and microgreens; and Broccoli and Water Chestnut Dim Sum. For a unique crunch, patrons can try the Asparagus Tempura Uramaki with spicy plum mayonnaise.
Non-vegetarian highlights include the Californian Roll, made with tobiko, crab meat, avocado, and cucumber; Lemongrass Murgh Tikka, marinated with cheese, beetroot, and dry pomegranate; and Chicken Charcoal Dumpling, served with XO sauce. The thin-crust pizza offerings feature the Veg Greek Arugula Pesto with olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and parmesan, as well as the Non-Veg Habibi Pizza topped with garlic chicken, oven-roasted tomatoes, fire-roasted chilies, and fresh herbs. The drink menu complements the culinary experience with options like the Russian Fizzy Melon and Flame Boy cocktails, alongside mocktails such as the Chatpatta Mango, Gondhoraj Lemon Mojito, and Thai Ginger Lemonade.
