The Tanjore Tiffin Room Unveils in Anjuna, Goa, following its venture in Mumbai.

Led by restaurant owner Kishore DF, who is well-known for places like Pot Pourri, Lemon Grass, Seijo & The Soul Dish, WTF!, The Big Nasty, Butler & The Bayleaf, this food project is a way of celebrating the delicious tastes of traditional Tamilian homes.

Brand is situated within a 150-year-old Portuguese bungalow, the restaurant covers an area of 6500 square feet. It features a dining area that can accommodate 120 people and a bar lounge with seating for 50.

The small plates include Marina Beach Sundal, made with vatana, raw mango, shredded coconut, and onions; Yam Cutlet, a crispy outside and spicy inside appetizer; Mushroom Pepper Fry, mushrooms with freshly ground pepper, coriander, and fennel powder; Madras Tiger Prawns, perfectly grilled with butter and a pepper garlic masala; Coromandel Clams with yellow chili and a dry coconut masala; and Chilli Rib, a slow-cooked pork rib glazed with Chettinad chilies.

The main dishes include Tamil-style dishes like Ennai Kathrrika, with small brinjals in a curry with freshly ground masala; Poriyal, a simple dish of dry mixed vegetables tossed with grated coconut; Madras Railway Curry, a classic Anglo-Indian dish with a creamy coconut, onion, and tomato-based curry; Khorma which can be paired with options like chicken, mutton, or prawns.

The menu also has rice options like Jackfruit Biryani, Prawn Biryani, Egg Biryani, and classic dishes like Lemon Rice, Sambhar Rice, and more.

The restaurant has assortment of cocktails which includes choices such as the X & The Sour Equation, which mixes vodka, X Rated liqueur, cranberry, and lime; the Pondicherry Punch, Orange & Basil Mojito;, a blend of Passion Fruit, Elderflower, Tequila, Triple sec, and citrus mix; or the Tamil Sunrise, a tropical LITT featuring orange juice for those who enjoy tropical flavors.
