UK-based Luxury Hotels Group a collection of global hospitality properties is planning to have a membership of approximately 30 hotels in the country in next two year, as per a PTI report.
The group is taking the initiative as part of its aggressive expansion plans in India.
"We plan to have 30 hotels as our members in next two years," said Naresh Chandani, Regional Director, Luxury Hotels Group.
The hotels will be in luxury and mid-market segments. "Our focus is on independent and small chains. We are looking to add benefits to the hotels under our brands”, said, Bernadette Koltai, Vice-President, Luxury Hotels Group.
While the premium hotels, flagship properties would be under the Luxury Hotels Group brand, mid-market hotels which are mainly 3-stars and 4-stars will be under the Ideal Hotels brand."We are looking at having up to 4 luxury hotels under our Luxury Hotels Group portfolio and between 25 to 26 hotels under Ideal Hotels portfolio," Chandnani added.
The group is eyeing metros, state capitals, tier II and tier III cities as its feature destination.
