Wagh Bakri to expand portfolio

Wagh Bakri Tea Lounge, a Gujarat based company is planning to scale up its operation by expanding to Tier-II cities.

Parag Desai, Executive Director, Wagh Bakri Tea Group, said, “We intend to scale up and will have 10 lounges in a year but it may take another five years before we make money on the venture. There are consumers who are passionate about tea and are willing to pay Rs 70 for a cup.”

The tea lounge has its presence in Mumbai and Delhi and is planning to open lounges in Pune, Ahmedabad and Nagpur soon.
