Yum! Brands to open 2100 restaurants in 2015

Yum! Brands, which own and operates restaurant chains like KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, is planning to open over 2100 restaurants internationally.

“Across Yum! We expect to open over 2,100 new international restaurants this year, further strengthening our lead in emerging markets. We remain focused on the three keys to driving shareholder value: same-store sales growth, new-unit development and generating high returns on invested capital. I'm confident that this formula will produce consistent double-digit EPS growth over the long term as we continue to build three iconic global brands that people trust and champion,” said, Greg Creed, CEO, Yum Brands.

The brand also reported sales grew of 3 per cent worldwide. And worldwide restaurant margin decreased 0.5 percentage points to 14.5 per cent.

The brand also opened new international restaurants, including 737 in China and 156 in India amongst other.

However, India division system sales increased by 6 per cent, driven by 18 per cent unit growth and offset by a 10 per cent same-store sales decline.
