Unify Foodworks, the master franchisee of Moe’s Casa Mexicana and Carvel in India, has raised Rs 5 crore in seed funding through compulsorily convertible debentures (CCDs). The company will use the capital to expand both international food and beverage brands across the National Capital Region (NCR) and strengthen its presence in the Indian market.
The funding is part of Unify Foodworks' broader expansion strategy, which includes building a network of more than 100 stores across India over the long term. In the immediate term, the company will focus on increasing store density across NCR, where both brands made their India debut. The investment will also support efforts to improve brand visibility, strengthen consumer engagement and establish a scalable operating model before entering additional markets. The company plans to use its NCR operations as a foundation for future restaurant and food retail expansion.
Moe’s Casa Mexicana and Carvel cater to different segments of India's food services market. Both brands are owned by Roark Capital, which also has interests in international food chains such as Subway, Baskin-Robbins, and Dunkin'. Moe’s Casa Mexicana is the international version of the US-based fast-casual restaurant chain Moe’s Southwest Grill, with India serving as its first international market. Unify Foodworks also holds the master franchise rights for Moe’s Southwest Grill, which operates as a larger-format restaurant concept within the brand portfolio.
The restaurant's menu includes burritos, bowls and tacos, alongside India-specific offerings such as Habanero Paneer. The brand is targeting consumers interested in international quick-service and fast-casual dining formats. Carvel, an American ice cream brand established in 1934, entered the Indian market in 2025 with its first outlet at Connaught Place, New Delhi. The brand is known for its soft-serve ice cream offerings and plans to build its presence in India's growing ice cream and dessert market.
Sumer Sethi, Founder and CEO of Unify Foodworks said, “Travel has rewired the Indian palate. Someone who has had a burrito in Atlanta or a soft serve in New York comes home expecting that exact experience, not a local approximation of it. For this consumer, consistency is the indulgence. Global brands are engineered to deliver it, but only when the operator gets the foundations right. This round gives us the runway to build those foundations store by store, so every new opening is a proven model repeated, not an experiment. Just as valuable are backers who understand consumer brands and share our long view. Our ambition is to make Unify Foodworks the go-to platform for international F&B brands entering India, scaling names that own their category without diluting what made them iconic.”
With the latest fundraise, Unify Foodworks plans to strengthen its restaurant operations and expand the footprint of its international food and beverage brands. Its long-term target of more than 100 stores reflects the company's ambition to build a larger presence for Moe’s Casa Mexicana and Carvel in India's competitive food services market.

Nebula by Titan has opened its first exclusive standalone boutique in Mumbai, marking a new phase in the luxury watch brand’s retail expansion. Located in Khar, the approximately 2,000 sq ft store is also the first exclusive brand boutique within Titan’s Premium Collection portfolio. The boutique was inaugurated by Karan Johar and Karisma Kapoor.
It has been designed as a dedicated retail destination for Nebula’s 18K gold watches, bringing the brand’s collections and watchmaking craftsmanship together in a personalised shopping environment. The store’s design draws on four themes associated with Nebula’s creative identity: celestial elements, Gardens of Paradise, architecture and historic cities. Its interiors incorporate handcrafted brass and wood balusters, marquetry, gold leaf detailing and intricately designed flooring.
Indigo forms the central colour theme of the boutique, reflecting its historical association with Indian art, craftsmanship and trade. The colour also connects with the celestial influences behind several of Nebula’s watch designs. Antique gold and ivory accents complete the interior palette. The boutique offers an exclusive selection of Nebula’s 18K gold timepieces. Customers can explore the collections with assistance from trained specialists, who provide information about the inspiration, design and craftsmanship behind individual watches. The store also offers personalised consultations, curated refreshments and a service approach designed around individual customer interactions.
Kalpana Rangamani, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Premium and Luxury Watches, Titan Company Limited said, "The most exciting thing about Indian luxury today is its confidence. Consumers are increasingly seeking brands that combine exceptional craftsmanship with authenticity, cultural depth and a distinctive point of view. The unveiling of Nebula's first exclusive boutique is a reflection of that evolution. More than a retail destination, it is the physical expression of the Nebula brand and our commitment to creating a world-class luxury experience rooted in Indian artistry and craftsmanship. This milestone marks an important step in our journey to establish Nebula as a distinguished luxury watch brand with an identity and experience that are unmistakably its own."
The Khar boutique gives Nebula a dedicated retail presence in Mumbai’s luxury shopping market. The opening also marks a significant investment by the brand as it looks to establish a distinct identity in India's luxury watch segment, combining 18K gold watchmaking with Indian design and craftsmanship.
