GCI Network, the parent company of one the largest aggregator for gift cards – Gift Crads India, has launched its app – PREZZ, through which it aims to alter the gifting experience. Gifting is the last-minute decision in India, says Firoz khan, co-founder & CEO, Gift Cards India, while taking about PREZZ and the ease-of-access this app will offer to consumers.

What is the USP of PREZZ that would help you have an edge over competitors?

PREZZ is one of its kind Digital Gift Card App which provides vast choice and flexibility on redemption to the recipient. With PREZZ, we are looking at acquiring atleast a million consumers by end of 2016.

Are you anyway looking to go App-only model of operation like Myntra?

No we are not. PREZZ will exist on App and Web both. I believe there is still time for the industry to move towards App-only model.

How do you analyze the emergence of so many gifting portals?

The fact that there are so many gifting portals validates that online gifting category is getting popular with the Indian consumers. In today’s age, gifting is always a last minute thought and solutions like ours fits in perfectly.

How do you position Gift Cards India amidst them?

Gift Cards India is completely focused on providing creative solutions on Gift Cards / Vouchers. Our mission is to become the largest gift card distribution network in the country and we're dedicated towards that. Our average ticket size has been Rs 4,500.

What are the other brands that you are aiming to add to Prezz?

We are committed to bringing in as many brands as possible on PREZZ for the consumer. Not only Big Box retailers but also Small & Medium Size stores will be available on PREZZ for redemption.

What category is in demand while selecting a gift?

We've seen brands in Department Stores, Jewellery & Electronics being the popular gifting categories, however, choice is what comes out as most preferred option and therefore our Digital Gift Cards serves the purpose.
