Sterling Holiday Resorts Opens Vanyatara Tadoba
Sterling Holiday Resorts Opens Vanyatara Tadoba

The 18-key wilderness retreat in Maharashtra adds Tadoba to Sterling’s wildlife resort network, with plans to connect Pench, Tadoba and Tipeshwar through a multi-destination travel circuit. Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited (SHRL) has opened Sterling Vanyatara Tadoba in the Chimur region of Maharashtra, expanding its presence in India’s wildlife tourism and nature-based hospitality segment.

The new resort adds Tadoba to Sterling’s portfolio of wilderness destinations as the company looks to develop wildlife holidays beyond conventional safari trips. Its approach combines access to forest reserves with accommodation, regional cuisine and nature-based activities to encourage longer and multi-destination stays.

The expansion comes as hospitality operators explore opportunities in wildlife tourism, with destinations offering experiences that extend beyond wildlife sightings. Sterling aims to build a network of resorts across different forest regions, allowing travellers to explore their distinct landscapes, local cultures and culinary traditions.

Vikram Lalvani, Managing Director and CEO of Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited said, “India’s forests offer far more than wildlife sightings. Each has its own landscape, ecology, culture and cuisine—and therefore a different reason to travel. At Sterling, we see wildlife and nature-led holidays as an increasingly important part of our hospitality portfolio, and we are deliberately building depth in this category. As Destination Architects, our ambition is to make the forest the experience, not just the safari. Sterling Vanyatara Tadoba strengthens that proposition while creating opportunities to connect destinations such as Pench, Tadoba and Tipeshwar into richer journeys for families and wildlife enthusiasts. Our ambition is not simply to take travellers on more safaris. It is to give them more of India's wilderness to discover.”

Located with access to five safari gates of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, Sterling Vanyatara Tadoba has 18 accommodation units. The resort offers Indulge Rooms with sit-outs, Forest Villas with private lawns and Two-Bedroom Villas designed to provide separate and shared living spaces. Facilities include a swimming pool, spa and outdoor areas for guests to use between excursions. The property is positioned to accommodate travellers seeking a stay that combines safari access with time for relaxation and other activities.

The resort also plans evening experiences featuring storytelling sessions with naturalists, cultural performances by Gond tribal artists, and showcases of regional Saoji cuisine. These activities are intended to introduce guests to the area's cultural and culinary traditions alongside wildlife excursions.

The resort’s restaurant, The Jungle Table, serves dishes inspired by Vidarbha’s culinary traditions, including Saoji cuisine, known for its bold and spicy flavours. Its menu also features food associated with Nagpur’s street-food culture and regional dishes such as Zunka Bhakar with Thecha and Pitla, alongside Indian and international options.

Dining experiences extend beyond the restaurant, with post-safari high teas and private dinners arranged outdoors. The offerings form part of the resort’s broader approach to combining regional food and local experiences with wildlife tourism. Guests can plan excursions through the Alizanza, Madnapur, Shirkheda, Belara and Shedegaon safari gates, subject to the availability of permits.

Ashok L Bhaiyya and Gaurav Bhaiyya, Partners at Sterling Vanyatara Tadoba said, “What attracted us to Tadoba was the power of the wilderness and the opportunity to create a retreat where the experience continues after guests return from the forest. We wanted space, privacy and a strong sense of place to define the stay. Sterling’s understanding of Indian leisure travel and its ability to build richer journeys especially around the wildlife destinations makes it a natural partner for that vision.”

Sterling already operates resorts in Pench and Tipeshwar. The addition of Tadoba creates an opportunity for the company to connect the three destinations into a single travel circuit, giving guests the option to explore different forest regions as part of one itinerary. The proposed Pench-Tadoba-Tipeshwar circuit forms part of Sterling’s strategy to expand its wildlife tourism portfolio and encourage multi-destination holidays. Such circuits can allow hospitality operators to offer travellers more accommodation options across a region while extending their stays.

For Sterling Holiday Resorts, the Tadoba opening adds another property to its nature-led hospitality business. The company plans to use its growing destination network to broaden traveller choice and develop journeys that combine wildlife excursions, local culture and regional food. The resort’s performance and the development of connected travel circuits will help determine how the company builds its presence in India’s wildlife tourism market.

Dolce Nova Debuts as Wyndham Expands Lifestyle Hospitality Portfolio
Dolce Nova Debuts as Wyndham Expands Lifestyle Hospitality Portfolio

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has introduced Dolce Nova, a new upper-upscale hospitality brand positioned as an extension of Dolce Hotels and Resorts by Wyndham. Inspired by the Italian concept of il dolce far niente, meaning “the sweetness of doing nothing,” the new brand is designed to cater to the growing demand for experience-led travel, wellness-focused stays and lifestyle hospitality.

Dolce Nova aims to offer travellers a more intentional approach to travel, focusing on connection, wellbeing and local experiences. The brand will join the expanding upper-upscale lifestyle hotel segment, while building on the heritage of Dolce Hotels and Resorts, which has traditionally focused on meetings, events and resort experiences.

According to Wyndham, changing consumer preferences are reshaping the luxury and hospitality sectors, with travellers increasingly seeking authentic experiences, cultural immersion, personal wellbeing and stronger connections with destinations. The company said Dolce Nova has been developed to address these evolving travel trends while providing hotel owners and developers with a differentiated hospitality offering backed by Wyndham’s global network.

Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts said, “Dolce delivers on a simple idea: that where people come together matters. Over time, we've seen travellers place greater value on something that often feels in short supply: time. Time to slow down, to be present, to reconnect with loved ones, and to experience destinations in a more meaningful way. Dolce Nova is a natural extension of the Dolce family, bringing its ethos into the upper-upscale lifestyle segment through design and experiences inspired by il dolce far niente and the simple luxury of time well spent. As demand for meaningful, experience-led travel continues growing, Dolce Nova offers owners and developers a distinctive new opportunity, combining European-inspired design, curated social experiences and a strong sense of place with the scale, technology and commercial power of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts.”

Wyndham said multiple discussions regarding potential Dolce Nova properties are already underway across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. The brand has been developed to support both hotel conversions and new-build projects.

Dolce Nova will also benefit from Wyndham’s global distribution network, hospitality technology platform and Wyndham Rewards loyalty programme, which has more than 126 million enrolled members worldwide. The launch comes as the global lifestyle hotel market continues to grow, with industry forecasts projecting significant expansion over the coming decade.

Located within walking distance to Witney’s historical center, approximately 15 miles west of Oxford and within reach of the Cotswolds, the hotel is undergoing an extensive transformation designed to reflect the character and heritage of its surroundings. The hotel’s guest experience and interiors will draw inspiration from Witney’s longstanding wool-making heritage, the hand-made spirit of the Arts & Crafts movement and a local sense of place, woven throughout the interior design.
