Pizza Hut unveils 'chatbot' who takes order from your Facebook and Twitter account

Taking its online food ordering service to social media platform, Pizza Hut has unveiled its ‘chatbots’ which will take orders from social media sites such as facebook and twitter. Now, customer can place their order through social media sites while having conversation with these chatbots.

The company will be releasing Chatbot service next month and customers can access this service by logging on to the social media page of Pizza Hut. The service is marked to be debut at the 2016 Venturebeat MobileBeat Conference in San Francisco with a demo from Baron Concors, Chief Digital Officer, Pizza Hut, the company announced on Thursday.

Concors said that the new Pizza Hut social ordering platform is another example of making it easy for brand’s customer to order their favourites from Pizza Hut. Company is constantly pursuing ways to simplify its ordering experience. This platform allows brand’s consumers to quickly order or get information where they are already spending a great deal of their time.

With this move, the company has locked horns with its competitor Domino’s which had already introduced this sort of service last year. One can order Domino's via Apple Watch app too.

Company stated further that with this service, customers will be able to reorder their favourites or saved orders from any US Pizza Hut location by chatting directly with the Pizza Hut accounts on Facebook Messenger and Twitter, as well as get answers to frequently asked questions and receive the latest deals and promotions.

Pizza Hut committed to servicing its customers in the most convenient way and meeting them in the channels they already prefer. This launch reinforces brand’s goals of being the most user centered pizza company with an emphasis on the simplification and personalisation of its digital experience, commented Concors.
