Brigade Hospitality has launched "Dhabha on the Highway," a brand-new themed restaurant offering an authentic dining experience with a modern twist.  

Situated in Brigade Orchards, Devanahalli, "Dhabha on the Highway” can seat up to 36 guests at a time and aims to provide guests with a memorable culinary experience in a vibrant ambiance and an authentic Punjabi cuisine. 

The restaurant's unique identity is further enhanced by its cheerful mascot, "Gabru," who embodies the spirit of Punjabi hospitality and joy. 

“Dhaba on the Highway” serves lunch from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm and dinner from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am. Home delivery and online ordering is also available on Swiggy and Zomato.

"Dhabha on the Highway" seamlessly blends traditional Punjabi aesthetics with contemporary elements. The decor features colourful Punjabi-themed artwork, rustic furniture, and traditional artifacts, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The restaurant's menu showcases the best of Punjabi cuisine, featuring signature dishes such as Dhaba Gosh, Murgh Patiala, Tandoori Chicken, Kadai Paneer, and Dhaba Dal. With over nine years of experience in bakery and pastry arts, Chef Ravi brings expertise honed at renowned establishments such as Grand Hyatt Kochi, The Westin Hyderabad, and Aloft Hotel Bengaluru.  

During his tenure at Grand Hyatt Kochi, Chef Ravi managed bakery operations, introduced innovative recipes, and mentored pastry teams. One of his notable achievements includes creating the tallest edible Christmas tree at The Westin Hyderabad, a project that received significant recognition.

Chef Hardeep began his culinary journey in 2013 as a commis chef at Jaypee Hotels in Agra. Before joining Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center, Varun Mehrotra held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & Hyderabad International Convention Centre.

Furthermore, he has served in various responsible roles at prominent hospitality brands such as Kempinski Ambience Hotel and Shangri-La in New Delhi.

Blending the fine line between tradition, innovation and authenticity, Chef Siddarth has a flair for inventive cooking, retaining simplicity at the core of every recipe he curates. With over 16 years of culinary expertise, Chef Siddarth has been spearheading myriad kitchens across leading brands.

In his role as the Executive Chef at Sheraton Grand Pune, Chef Siddarth will be overseeing the entire functioning of F&B offerings across banqueting, in room dining and outlets.

In pursuit of his passion for cooking, Chef Siddarth completed his Diploma in Hotel Management Catering Technology from Rizvi College. He started his career as a trainee with the Taj Mahal Hotel and moved on to work with international hospitality brands including Hyatt Regency Mumbai, Grand Hyatt Goa, Grand Hyatt Mumbai and Sofitel BKC.

During his tenure at Novotel Hotels and Resorts Goa, he conceptualized utilization of unused spaces at the property to create three new restaurants, including the signature restaurant ‘Vero Cibo’.

In his leisure time, he enjoys keeping up with the constantly evolving culinary world and exploring new ways to imbibe innovation.

Sheraton Grand Pune has appointed Ishaan Singh as the Director of Food and Beverage at the hotel.

Ishaan comes with over ten years of luxury hospitality experience, both in Indian and international markets. His expertise lies in guest relations, Food & Beverage and nutrition.

In his previous role as the F&B Manager at Soneva Fushi Resort Maldives, Ishaan was responsible for operations of 9 restaurants and 2 bars.

Ishaan has worked with almost thirty Michelin Star chefs in the past and has been instrumental in the launch of several specialty restaurants.

Ishaan has a degree in B.A Tourism Studies and Administration from IGNOU, alongside pursued a diploma in hospitality and business administration from the WelcomGroup Management Institute. He has also done his WSET Level 3 certification in Wines and Spirits and has completed a certification course in Motivating and Inspiring Individuals from the University of Michigan.

In his ten years of experience Ishaan has received several awards and accolades including the Trophy of Honour for Overall Excellence at the WelcomGroup Management Institute.  

At Sheraton Grand Pune, Ishaan will be responsible for food and beverage menu planning and execution for all outlets, menu engineering and costing, pushing and maintaining guest satisfaction. He will also assist the General Manager and DOSM in day-to-day operations.

With the safety measurements and precautions in place, the hotel is fully equipped with all the necessary safety resources for their guests.

The hotel has introduced the safety deck in order to communicate the safety steps undertaken by the stakeholders and to build confidence amongst the guests. They have mandatory usage of the personal protective kits for all their guests and at the same time the associates will be readily available wearing the PPEs as well.

To maintain the social distancing norm at every nook and corner of the hotel, which has critical touch points too, they have initiated the Smart visual queues for the guest’s journey to remind them of the significance of social distancing.

With a hygiene manager in place, the hotel has leveraged the expertise of the hygiene partners to train the associates both in theory and practical. The position of a Hygiene manager gains greater significance under the new normal. Hygiene manager will look into the compliance of health measures taken and will have the ownership to implement processes to ensure safety and hygiene.

“We understand our guest’s concern and respect it, we have taken all the necessary precautions and measurements for their utmost safety and have trained every associate at the hotel on the do’s and don’ts. The hotel is fully equipped with the safety kits and guidelines,” said Yash Mathur, Hygiene Manager who is also Executive Sous Chef at Sheraton.

The layout of the restaurants have been relooked into, the gap between the tables is now 1.5 meters. The reservations at the restaurants will be effectively managed to avoid crowding which will regulate the timings of each reservation and will have a cap in place with regard to number of guests at any given point of time in a restaurant.

Traditional menus have been replaced by QR codes to aid the contactless experience. Buffet if any will only be of assisted service and no more self-service. To make the dining experience more exciting, the restaurants have introduced “Eat and Repeat” to enjoy sumptuous meals.

Maneesh Vijaykumaran has been appointed as the Director of Food & Beverage at the Sheraton Grand Resort & Spa. He brings with him more than a decade of expertise in the hospitality industry.

In his new role, he will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the food and beverage department and delivering excellent guest experiences. He will be leading the culinary team and his role entails the introduction of new menus, uphold menu standards, ensure high-quality service, increase food & beverage profitability, and manage labor and food costs.

Prior to joining Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa, Maneesh has been associated with renowned names in the hospitality industry. He began his career at the Park Sheraton, Chennai as the Food Beverage Trainee after which he joined hotels like the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Dubai, JA Resorts & Hotels Dubai and JA Resorts & Hotels both in Dubai and Maldives. He also served as operations manager at Deliverance in the UAE wherein he led various pre-opening operations from scratch to completion alongside Michellin star Michel Roth. His diverse experience has helped him master the nuances of the trade and seasoned him with handling a diverse clientele.

Ather Raza has been appointed as the Director of Operations at the Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa. Bringing with him over sixteen years of adept hospitality experience, he is responsible to ensure smooth hotel operations and oversee the functioning of various departments.

Prior to joining Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa, Ather worked as an Executive Assistant Manager (Rooms) at Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Centre.

Ather joined the Marriott family in 2001 and has a vast experience of handling pre-opening of properties like Sheraton Bangalore at Brigade Gateway, Aloft Bengaluru at Cessna Business Park, Sheraton Grand Bengaluru, and Sheraton Whitefield Hotel & Convention Centre. In the course of his career, he has also been associated with renowned hotels such as JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu and Goa Marriott Resort & Spa.

Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel, Gachibowli has appointed Chef Amit Kumar Dash as its Executive Chef.

Dash has over 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry and holds a diploma in Hotel & Catering Management from IIHM, Kolkata along with BBA in the Tourism and Hospitality industry from Vishwa Bharati Shantiniketan and a BA in International Hospitality Management from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh, UK.

He encompasses expertise in handling kitchen operations, achieving guest satisfaction and team management.

During the last 13 years, Dash has grown from being a Jr. Sous Chef-Chef In-charge to being the Executive Chef. He has been previously associated with Courtyard by Marriott at Mumbai International Airport, Courtyard by Marriott, The Taj Connemara and ITC Hotel Park Sheraton Towers in Chennai.
