Subway, Submarine sandwich chain opened its first outlet in India with its new Metro decor in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The store has a spacious interior with chic lighting and modern-age sitting area filled with aroma of freshly baked bread.
Mr. Gurpreet Gulri, Country Head, Subway India, said “Metro decor is an upscale decor, opted by franchisees internationally to elevate customer experience. This brings Subway India at par with the changing trends of the industry and enhances the brand’s identity amongst customers, suppliers and competitors.”
Mr. Durlabh Singh, Development Agent, Subway's Franchise, Ahmedabad, said “Gujarat is likely to become a major market for Subway in the coming years. The outlet is Subway’s 39th restaurant in Ahmedabad and 400th in the country overall. The brand plans to roll out 14 more outlets in the next six months, and over 50 restaurants by the end of fiscal year 2014.”
