WoodenStreet Enters Himachal Pradesh, Opens its First Store in Shimla

WoodenStreet entered Himachal Pradesh with the launch of its first store in Shimla. With entering the state, the company has planned for an aggressive spread in Himachal Pradesh, under its expansion drive of Tier-ll and Tier-lll cities.

The new studio, launched in the capital of Himachal Pradesh, is situated at one of the prime locations at Amber Ville, in Shimla (Chandigarh-Shimla Highway), spanning across a carpet area of 3,000 sq. ft. With this store, Woodenstreet’s offline store's footprint currently spans 90+ experience stores, including all the major cities of the country.

Lokendra Singh Ranawat, CEO, WoodenStreet said, “The very reason behind entering into Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) is to create a strong connection with the people living there. Their love for luxury and traditional furniture is deep-rooted. And, we want to give Shimlaites a one-of-a-kind experience through the premium quality of furniture that we offer.

Making a huge leap post-pandemic, these cities (targeting Tier-ll and Tier-lll) show a tremendous scope of the aesthetically pleasing, practical, and functional designs in furniture and decor and are going to be the next hub for this industry,” he added further.

The newly launched offers customers a first-hand experience with an exclusive catalog of home furniture and decor products. The studio at Shimla aims at providing a personalized shopping experience, catering to the unique needs of Shimlaites.

In addition, WoodenStreet has a massive delivery hub in Chandigarh, and being near Shimla, the company will be able to serve a huge range of furniture and decor products, and people can expect fast deliveries in the city.

WoodenStreet, in October this year announced that it will be investing close to $20 million (around Rs 200 crore) to fuel its growth across the country. Following that, adding the investment will help generate over 3,000 job opportunities, including frontline workers.

Founded in 2015, the company raised $30 million in Series-B funding led by Westbridge capital in April this year.  Besides an established online presence, the company stands firm in terms of its physical presence. Currently, the brand operates 90+ brick-and-mortar across India and has more than 350+ delivery hubs, delivering a range of over 30k+ home furniture, décor, and home furnishing products.
