Dishoom, an Indian restaurant located in London, has become the best restaurant in UK according to Yelp, the online urban city guide and app.

The restaurant has beaten Britain's best known Michelin-starredto be crowned the top restaurant in UK.

Dishoom located at Covent Garden serves 'bun maska' (bread and butter) and kaala khatta has always received a large queue outside it of people wanting to dine in it.

Yelp compiled its own review and star-rating data to come out with a list of the Top 100 places to eat in the UK.

Dishoom was founded by Shamil and Kavi Tharar and Amar and Adarsh Radia in 2010 serves traditional Mumbai food with a little tweak in the menu.

“Dishoom was our loving homage to Irani cafes. Having grown up in London I can't forget the frequent visit to Mumbai to visit my grandparents. The old Irani cafes of Mumbai have almost all disappeared. They are heritage and needed to be preserved. We also wanted to say something about the Indian cuisine that did not conform to the usual cliche”, said Shamil.

Presently the restaurant is operating three outlets in the country.
