Burger chain, McDonald's has collaborated with UberEATS to launch McDelivery service to select Canadian cities. UberEATS users now have access to the McDonald’s menu via UberEATS’ app, with all menu prices same as they are in-restaurant, with additional delivery fees.
McDelivery with UberEATS is available in 187 restaurants across Canada and plans to be in more than 60 more by the end of the summer.
By the end of the summer, the partnership plans to offer the service at 31 restaurants in Montreal, 18 in Ottawa, 145 in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, 43 in Edmonton and 20 in Calgary.
QSR chain McDonald’s is expanding its mobile app partnership with Adyen the global financial technology platform of choice for leading businesses in the US.
The two companies began working together since early 2020 in the U.K. and are now expanding to other markets globally.
"As consumer demand evolves, Adyen has responded to our needs in a rapidly changing market. Adyen has handled mobile volumes during peak events, such as promotions and rush times. Additionally, they helped improve the success rate for customers registering their preferred payment types to their digital profile and reduced card declines during order placement by using Real-time Account Updater technology. We look forward to where we take the partnership next,” shared Whitney McGinnis, U.S. CIO at McDonald’s.
McDonald’s has always focused on serving customers, and that includes offering their preferred payment methods with Adyen in several markets across the globe. For example, loyalty customers are able to pay with their saved payment method on the McDonald’s mobile app at the front counter, kiosk, or drive-thru using a four-digit code which provides convenience and supports operational speed.

Reach 3Roads has announced the launch of its exclusive McDonald’s outlet this Christmas & New Year.
The exclusive high street retail centre is set to welcome its latest entrant and enthral its customers now with a drive-through facility ensuring international standards, attracting global retailers at 3 Roads.
“We're thrilled to announce the debut of one of the major global retailer at our 3 Roads property. We at 3 Roads are motivated to evolve our retail space to meet the ever-changing demands of our customers. The opening of the global food behemoth is only the start of many steps toward providing our consumers with a better, more seamless shopping and dining experience,” shared Harinder Singh, Chairman, Reach Group.
McDonald’s outlet at Reach 3Roads is spread over 7000 sq. ft on the ground and first floor with a vast front facade of 40ft.
Helping McDonald’s create one of the first kinds of kitchen in the northern belt, based on the first floor with a unique conveyor belt system through which food will be transported to the delivery window creating a provision of fast delivery.
McDonald’s at 3Roads is a perfect blend of dine-in and drive through with 2-way access from the boulevard area as well as the road level entrance for drive-through vehicles.

McDonald’s has partnered with Grubhub to start expanding McDelivery to approximately 500 restaurants in New York City and Tri-State area. Now, McDelivery will be available on the Grubhub marketplace and the company's New York brand, Seamless.

“We are excited to add Seamless and Grubhub, leading delivery platforms in NYC, to our McDelivery service and to create more options for our customers to enjoy their favorite McDonald’s menu items via McDelivery,” Quesada added.
McDonald's and Grubhub partnership will include a direct point-of-sale (POS) integration for ensuring a smooth experience for customers and franchise operations partners. Under this integration, Grubhub's innovative "Just in Time" technology will permit restaurant operators to match order fulfillment with driver pickup.

McDonald’s has added DoorDash as a new delivery partner, which brought an end to its exclusive partnership with UberEats. The move is part of the fast food giant’s effort to widen the reach of its McDelivery service to customers.
McDonald’s partnership with DoorDash will launch in the Houston, Texas area across over 200 restaurants on July 29.
Under this partnership, the fast food giant’s menu will be available on DoorDash’s subscription program, offering its members with unlimited free delivery on orders of $12 or more.
Since 2017, Uber Eats has singularly handled McDonald’s delivery in about 64 percent of the chain’s stores in the US. Since then, delivery has grown to be $3 billion business for McDonald’s.
Chris Kempczinski, Head of McDonald’s US, said, “Building on the success of McDelivery in the US, we’re excited to make McDelivery accessible to customers on DoorDash, which is available in all 50 states and reaches 80 percent of Americans, making it even more convenient for our customers to enjoy their favorite McDonald’s menu items on their terms.”
Christopher Payne, Chief Operating Officer, DoorDash, added, “We are excited to make that entire equation work.”
Connaught Plaza Restaurants Private Limited (CPRL), now fully owned by McDonald’s, has resumed its McDelivery service in Delhi NCR and select cities in North and East India. However, McDelivery will currently be available at select restaurants only.
CPRL will introduce the web and app ordering platforms. McDonald’s menu items can also be ordered through leading online delivery apps in the future.
A McDonald’s spokesperson said, “We had stopped McDelivery on May 9, 2019, due to the temporary closure of our restaurants in North and East India. We have restarted the service with reopening of our outlets in N&E India now.”
CPRL will further be continuing to re-launch restaurants over the coming days and weeks in North and East India.
Recently, an independent blog claimed that fast food major, McDonald’s is leaking personal data of more than 2.2 million user.
The company has assured its customers that its website and app do not store any financial data. An official spokesperson, McDonald's India (West & South) said, "We would like to inform our users that our website and app do not store any sensitive financial data of the users like credit card details, wallets passwords or bank account information.”
A post on independent blog post hackernoon claimed that McDonald's India is leaking data of 2.2 million users. To which, McDonald’s made this statement.
The blog claimed, "The McDonald's India app, McDelivery is leaking personal data for more than 2.2 million of its users which includes name, email address, phone number, home address, accurate home co-ordinates and social profile links.”
Hardcastle Restaurants, the franchisee of McDonald's for West and South India operations rejected the claims and said that its website and app has always been safe to use.
The statement said, "The website and app has always been safe to use, and we update security measure on regular basis.”
However, it also suggested its users to update McDelivery app on their devices.
The statement added, "As a precautionary measure, we would also urge our users to update the McDelivery app on their devices.”
