Vegetarian cuisine in Mangalore is known as Udupi cuisine, is known and liked throughout the region.

Mumbai cake bakers and cake lovers had a time of their lives on 16th, 17th and 18th October for India Cake Fest, a one of its kind event celebrating the love of cake.

The festival be organised throughout September at b-bar, Select City Walk, Saket.
Robatayaki, which literally means “fireside-cooking” in Japanese is often shortened to just Robata and refers to a method of cooking similar to a barbecue in which items of food on skewers or iron griddles are slow-grilled over hot charcoal.
It is the original traditional Japanese style of barbecue cooking which is prepared in front of customers and is served directly, similar to the manner of Sushi preparation and presentation.

Sscence, the fine dine restaurant located at Sahara hotel is celebrating its first anniversary with a month-long food festival serving Indian delicacies.
The restaurant has over 140-cover where customers can easily see what they ordering as the restaurant offers a tablet-based menu in 15 sections.
"We've presented images of the food as it will be served to the guests. We did not involve any professional photographers," said Chef Sanjay Bahl, Director F&B, Surya Hotel.

The restaurant will be organising the lunch and dinner buffer till 1st February.
The food festival is open for Lunch (12.30 pm to 3.00 pm) &and Dinner (7:30pm to 11:30 pm).
The culinary team at the restaurant has created a first of its kind gastronomic experience with an extravagant menu that reflects the traditional cuisines of Indonesia.
The specially crafted menu by Executive Chef Sajesh and his team is a unique compilation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies from the archipelago.
The festival offers an array of dishes like Pasis Udang (Spicy Shrimp in a Banana Leaf), Cumi Cumi Se (Stuffed Squids in Spicy Sauce), Ayam Goreng Bamboo (Fried Chicken with Spices), Bakwan Jagung (Fried Corn Fritter), Sop Bayam (Spinach and Sweet Potato soup), Sayur Assam (Corn, Green Beans and Paddy Oats), Sambal Udang Belado (Shrimp, Tofu and Potato Cooked Sumatra Chilli Sauce) Kari Ayam (Chicken Breast and Vegetable Curry with Coconut Milk) Tahu, Terong Balado (Eggplant Nasi Goreng Kari and Indonesian Vegetable Fried Rice amongst other.

The Menus at the hotel reflect the increasing consciousness of the global trends in gastronomy that guests expect today.
The Tuscany region is located in central Italy along the Tyrrhenian coast and home to some of the world’s most notable wines.

Chef Arun Sundararaj and his team of expert chefs have crafted a special menu that includes an extensive range of traditional delicacies from Tuscany.
The menu includes an assortment of Antipasti s such as Panzanella fresca(cold salad with fresh vegetables, thyme, vinaigrette, pinenuts & bread) Pomodoro e mozzarella(classic caprese with fresh tomato, buffalo mozzarella & basil) Insalata di asparagi germogli aromatici, salsa alle carote,(fresh asparagus salad, micro greens and carrot sauce). Tuscans are particularly fond of their soups traditionally called Zuppe, on offer are Acqua cotta di pomodoro e verdure profumata al basilica (Traditional Tuscan soup with vegetables, tomato & basil), Zuppa di cereal ed erbe con crostone all aglio( cereal and fresh herb soup with garlic bread).
A’ la carte menu is open for both lunch and dinner (12:00 pm to 2:45 pm and from 7.00 pm to 10.45 pm).
The Square, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre is ongoing Bengali food festival which will conclude on August 10, 2014.
The chefs have designed a special vegetarian and non-vegetarian menu including shukto, ambols, papda shorshe, bhetki paturi and biryani amongst other. The restaurant is offering the Bengali special menu from 6:30 pm to 11pm daily.
Speaking on the same, G Muthukumar, Executive Chef, NHCC, said, “The food festival has been designed to provide our guests the authentic and traditional flavours of Bengali food. It is aimed at bringing alive the artistic culture of West Bengal at Novotel.”
Barbeque Nation, the Casual dining restaurant is hosting ‘Global Cuisine Indian Style Food Festival’ from Aug 1 to 17. The restaurant will host the fest across all its nine outlets present in Delhi-NCR together with the Independence Day Celebration.
The restaurant is offering a buffet menu which comprises of 22 dishes inside it. Speaking on the same, Vijay Anand Bakshi, Head Culinary Operations, Barbeque Nation, said, "There was a time when all restaurants wanted to do fusion food but it didn't sustain for too long. That's why we thought of doing it for an occasion and it took us a good amount of research and trial for this fest.”
The buffet will be available during lunch and dinner hours at Rs 1,600 per person however it may vary on different days.
Baywiew, the restaurant located at Hotel Marine Plaza on Marine Drive, Mumbai is planning to host Rajasthani food festival from 11th July till 20th July. The festival commences at 7:30 pm and concludes at 11pm, on all days till 20th July’14.
For the festival, the restaurant has brought special chefs from Rajasthan to prepare authentic Rajasthani food. Some of the delicacies which will be offered during the fest are bail-gatte, balushahi, besan-chakki, chaavadi, churma, dal-bati, mawa kachori amongst other.
North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Kalagram, Chandigarh is celebrating food and art festival in an effort to revive Punjab's dying folk arts like naqal, gatka and sammi.
Yashwinder Sharma, Programme Officer, NZCC, Kalagram, said, "Various art forms in Punjab are losing ground. Therefore, we decided to organise a festival wherein we have invited folk singers, dancers and theatre artistes who are working hard to keep the art alive.”
The festival will start on 28th of June where food stalls will offer vegetarian and non-vegetarian Punjabi food.
Cafe Viva, Leisure Inn Grand Chanakya, Jaipur, Rajasthan is celebrating a 15 day long Punjabi Food Festival. The menu is prepared by Masterchef Shriniwas Dhakre from the royal kitchens of Punjab.
The ongoing festival will serve a la carte menu during the weekdays and buffet on weekends. The menu includes dishes like patiala murg tikka, murg malai kebab, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, kadhai gosht, raan gosht, dal gosht amongst other.
The festival will end on 6th July 2014.
Waterfront Terrace & Bar, Marriott Resort & Spa, Goa is celebrating international street food festival starting from 7th June till 22nd June 2014.
The restaurant plans to serve Chaats and Vada Pav from the streets of Delhi and Mumbai, the Kathi Rolls and Kuttu Parathas from Kolkata and Chennai, Crepes from France, Okonomiyaki from Japan, Tacos from Mexico, and Satay from Indonesia amongst others.
The Barbeque Nation, Ahmedabad is organising The Grand Trunk Road festival offering varieties of cuisines and an array of sumptuous barbequed recipes.
The menu includes Peshawar's barbequed temptations to the imperial dastarkhans of Delhi and Agra including the Awadhi kebabs to the delicious vegetarian legacy of Varanasi along with the sweets of Bengal.
Some of the dishes offered at the fest are kasundi chingri, peshawar-e-shorba, sheer kurma, murshidabadi biryani, chaapli kebabs amongst others. The festival will continue till 8th June.
