The State Government has prohibited the brand on the production of water for next 30 days, with effect from January 18.
At present, Keventers has 12 units spread across India.
The company already has two manufacturing facilities in Assam with a production capacity of 30,000 tonnes annually.
The group also plans to roll out hypermarket chain Big Bazaar in Dibrugarh, Bongaigaon, Tezpur and Tinsukia in Assam.
Though the state government did not ban the Nestle product, the company continued recalling its product from the state.
