Salman's Being Human foundation forays in jewellery segment via licensing
Betting big on the humongous potential of brand licensing, Bollywood actor Salman Khan's foundation Being Human has yet again extended its brand for alliance. The brand will foray into the jewellery industry from next month, revealed actor’s sister Arpita Khan at an event for the Retail Jeweller India Awards 2016. As per the industry speculations, Pune based heritage jeweler P.N. Gadgil is the one who will be the licensee for Being Human jewellery range. The jeweller has been in news for its association with the foundation. Huge banners of PN Gadgil Jeweller were spotted in Salman Khan’s movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Also, the 185 year old jewellery brand has launched Bajrangi Bhaijaan famed silver pendants. Hinting about the alliance, Arpita said, "I'm here because we are launching Being Human jewellery next month and that's really close to our hearts. So I decided to come out and support this as well." Khan added, "The Being Human jewellery collection is affordable to all the consumers. 70 per cent of its collection will be dedicated to women and rest 30 per cent will be for the men. It is based around the values of the brand, which is share, care, love and joy." Being Human brand consists of clothing line, as seen with Salman wearing T-Shirts from the brand. Mandhana Industries owns the clothing license of Being Human. The brand also has a charitable foundation and a percentage of the profits from the clothing line goes into the charitable causes of the foundation such as education and healthcare of the underprivileged.
