Bonjour is a niche manufacturer as well as retailer of knitted garments including socks, and in a conversation, Anusha Jain, Founder, Bonjour, highlighted their strategy to stay ahead of peers in a fiercely competitive segment.

Kindly throw more light on your operations?

 We launched our fashion accessories brand 25 years ago, and have benefited from the strong growth in this segment over the past five years.

Apart from the innovative designs for our socks, we have also benefited from consumers following the ‘style’ of several leading Bollywood divas.

Who is the target audience for your products?

Our products are relevant for both the sexes and all age groups.

What is your retail distribution network? Do you also offer products online?

Our brand is present at more than 8,000 stores across the country, and we have also opened six exclusive stores in North India including Noida, Ambala and Delhi. 

Our e-retail sales, which we recently began, contribute two per cent of our total sales, currently.

We have grown at nearly 25 per cent over the past decade, are aiming for 40 per cent rise in this fiscal. As part of that strategy, we are expanding our production capacity by 60 per cent this year, and also opening a third manufacturing plant, shortly.
