This time Diwali sales were weak in general for retailers across the categories. What are your expectations from upcoming wedding season? Do you see any negative impact of GST in overall sales?

Diwali was great in terms of footfalls across all segments. Dlf Promenade organized the Grand Diwali fair which showcased brands pertaining to the wedding segment. We have limited traditional wedding brands in the mall however the shoppers will view the latest collections on the racks. We did not see any negative impact of GST on overall sales.

As a prominent shopping destination, have you introduced any exclusive offers/ services exclusive to wedding shoppers?

We are always launching lucrative offers with reference to different occasions, however we haven’t introduced anything specific to the wedding season so far, owing to a fewer number of wedding centric stores in the mall.

Apart from ethnic category which new categories are really picking up this wedding season? Also, over the years, which categories have ruled the wedding season?

Apart from the ethnic category, we have seen a significant surge in the beauty and accessories sector. Over, the years, we have witnessed, the mentioned categories taking lead during the wedding season. DLF Promenade has a v strong bouquet of beauty brands. Also the customer enjoys an array of options in the traditional jewelry segment.

What percent of increased footfall is expected during wedding season?

 We are expecting at least a growth of 10-12% in footfalls during the festive months.

 Which brands (including the new ones) are expecting to generate better traction?

With wedding season round the corner, existing brands like Meena Bazaar, Ritu Kumar, Satyapaul, Channel, Mac, Sephora, Kiko Milano are definitely expected to do well. We are also expecting increased returns from new brands which are yet to open like Smashbox, Simon Carter, Melissa, Addidas Originals, Dyson and Armani Exchange

According to you the trends are towards designer wear or traditional brands?

The mall offers wide range of products with different price points and therefore the generation is experimenting with both traditional and designer wear depending on their budget.
