CUTTING A CULINARY EDGE

How and when was the concept behind this incepted?

My father, Mr. Doraiswamy, started his career in 1974 as a worker who involved in welding, tinkering, mechanical, etc. which makes him an all rounder and promoted him to the position of a supervisor. With all the skills he learnt, he founded his own proprietorship firm in 1990 - Venus Canteen Equipments. Later in 2017, we rebranded and registered as a partnership firm in the name - Venus K Equipments.

What makes your brand a one-stop shop for all restaurants, commercial kitchens, bakeries, cafes?

Venus K Equipments is a prominent name engaged in the commercial kitchen equipment manufacturing, supply, and exporting across the country. Our journey of 27 years in the food service industry made us the consultants who we are now. With a healthy practical knowledge, we know what makes a successful restaurant.

What products/services are up for grabs from your end and under what prices?

We manufacture our own kitchen equipment and furniture. We have also partnered with couple of top notch brands to distribute their products. We provide from consulting after being through with our sales service. Our price ranges from Rs. 9000 to Rs. 3, 45,000.

What measures do you take to ensure industrial grade quality of restaurant kitchen equipments?

According to FSSAI norms, 304 grade was defined for cooking equipments and we adhere to the rules. We always ensure the zero-compromise attitude when it comes to quality.

What benefits do you offer your clients while setting up their dream restaurant or in other service

The first and most important benefit for our client is - we understand their concept and guide them with our 27 years of expertise. Another benefit is that as industry leaders, we assist our clients completely from the point of conceptualisation till the completion of the restaurant and design and deliver their dream restaurant

On what criterion do you select your team of professionals that drive your business towards excellence?

Our business towards excellence is based on the trust of our clients along with our team of professional support which is vital in achieving this excellence. Our professional team focuses on goals and results and contributes their fair share. Our team members are diverse and possess good leadership plus they are much organised.

What were the challenges faced and how were they perfected while completing over 1500 projects for various clients during your journey across the globe?

In a very short span of time we have become a household name for many restaurant chains  but initially not all the restaurants set up by us were successful. Some were a success while some of them ended in a loss. So we started to research and learn where we were lacking. Even though our clients with successful business were continuing with us, the rest of the failed projects dropped out. So we started to put ourselves in their shoes and started to speak with the successful restaurant owners, workers, managers, chefs, etc. to know where the failure had happened. Here is where we learnt the solutions, in what makes a successful restaurant. Soon a buzz was created amongst our clients and new restaurateurs that product sale is not the only aim of Venus Canteen Equipments but also guidance towards success with all the necessary knowledge learnt to make a successful restaurant.

How do you intend to scale up your retail nationally and globally?

In retail, we are doing a serious R&D in manufacturing and engineering of our products to increase the quality of our supply chain and also by means of new partnership with known brands to distribute their products, nationally and internationally.
