DIGIworld, the retail initiative of Videocon Group, has announced the launch of its multi-brand retail outlet in Boisar, Thane. The state-of-the-art technology store will showcase all the leading brands in consumer electronics, home appliances, mobiles and cameras.
The company has conducted a study and has recognised 100 MPV towns (Most Potentially Viable) pan India, and is working with the objective of being present in all these locations. The idea is to give a unique user experience by getting world class technology, warm ambience, and extensive product display with exciting offers to the population living in urban and semi-urban areas.
Anirudh Dhoot, Director, Videocon, said, “As per our western region expansion strategy, we are focusing on markets that have a huge potential and Boisar was definitely on our cards. Boisar is a fast-growing suburb in Maharashtra’s Thane district and is witnessing steady retail growth. With the rise in disposable income in the hands of the consumers and a growth in double income families across this region, launching DIGIworld in Boisar was a welcome decision. We currently have around 400 DIGIworld stores across 65 cities pan India and plan to increase to 1,000 more by the end of 2012.”
DIGIworld boosts of a huge shop area, wherein great emphasis has been laid on in-shop branding and extensive display of the latest products. Special attention has been paid towards designing interactive programs and live demos, to showcase the USPs and salient features of the various products and provide the consumers with a hands-on feel. Consumer durable bands like Videocon, Philips, Hitachi, Panasonic, Sansui, Electrolux, Kenstar, USHA and Kelvinator; mobile brands like Apple, Blackberry, Nokia, Samsung, HTC and Videocon; services and D2H services as well cameras of renowned brands like Canon and Nikon are available at the DIGIworld stores.
