50 new stores in 2012

As a part of this expansion, Samsonite has already launched 10 stores in Pune during the last 10 months. Samsonite will soon open its 300th store in India in April 2012. At present, Samsonite has 292 stores in India.

Of the 300 stores, 120 will be company owned and the rest will be franchisee owned.

Additionally, Samsonite is also expanding its accessories business, which includes shoes, wallets, belts and purses. The company has a manufacturing facility at Nashik, where it produces over one lakh bags annually.
