Belgium's chocolate brand Leonidas spreads its retail presence in India

The premium Belgium chocolate brand `Leonidas` has forayed its retail presence in India. In the first phase of expansion, the company has launched a special range of chocolate to expand its presence in the Indian market. Leonidas is the only chocolate brand till date that runs its own exclusive store and hence the customers avail the opportunity to purchase the chocolates in pre-packed boxes from the retail stores. While commenting on the development, Ms. Vrinda Rambhia, Director, Premium Pralines (P) Ltd. which markets Leonidas in India said, “Distribution is not just about a physical network, the brand has to be available where it is convenient for our customers to purchase. We have decided on retail stores based on customer feedback. We plan to select more retail outlets, which have the infrastructure and customer base to be able to market Leonidas”. Leonidas is a premium chocolate brand selling over 100 different kinds of Belgian chocolate through 1,600 outlets and is present in more than 40 countries.
