Home-grown denim brand Numero Uno looks to expand to southern and western India markets with approximately 36 stores and an overall investment of over Rs 10 crore in the coming years.

Company is also looking to achieve a revenue growth of 15-20% from this expansion to western and southern regions of the country.

Additionally, it plans to put structured investment by promoting premium sportswear segment of ‘Athleisure’ and henceforth aims to grab a substantial market share over the years.

The denim brand which is one of India’s first indigenously manufactured denim labels was incorporated in 1987 by Hi Fashion Clothing Co., the flagship brand of Numero Uno Clothing Ltd.

Apart from its existing domestic operations, the brand is now looking at licensing arrangements in international markets too.

Narinder Singh Dhingra, CMD, NUCL said “We would be opening 12-15 stores per year for the next three years, mostly in South and West India considering less presence in those regions compared to North India. East India is also on our cards as the market has a huge potential”.
