The second exclusive store for Forevermark diamonds in India will come up in Kolkata by the festive season.
Sachin Jain, President, Forevermark India, said at the sixth edition of Forevermark forum, "After our first exclusive store in Bangalore, the next exclusive store of Forevermark diamonds will come up in Kolkata shortly."
Forevermark is a brand of De Beers and every Forevermark diamond undergoes a journey of rigorous selection and goes beyond standard 4Cs to select for genuine, natural and untreated, the company said.
Stephen Lussier, CEO, Forevermark, said, "India is an important market and has taken second slot in the world surpassing America."
China is the top market for Forevermark accounting for some 40% followed by India, which shares 15-20% of the global market.
Lussier said, "Though there were some jitters in the diamond market after demonetisation in the end of 2016, yet the Indian market is expanding at a rate of 60-70 per cent."
The company has 13 exclusive stores in the country right now, and it will end the calendar year with an additional 3 stores, taking the total to 16.
De Beers Forevermark holds the promise of transparency, trust and a high level of confidence, which the patrons of Bangalore strongly deserve when buying diamonds.
This marks the opening of the 13th De Beers Forevermark Boutique in the country.
The brand had already witnessed a huge response last year, and is expecting to grow in double digits this year too given the pent-up demand. The brand continues to grow in South India, the largest market for De Beers Forevermark in India.
