Indian suit brand Giovani plans to expand its presence across India including tier II cities through its own outlets. It plans to open eight stores this year.

 

“We are opening eight stores this year — in Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jalandhar and Dehradun with a total investment of Rs 15 crore,” said A K Dhir, managing director, Giovani. “It is essential to tap tier II cities as the demand in those markets is equal if not more than in the major cities.”

 

Giovani currently has nine exclusive retail outlets in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Jaipur and Ludhiana. The brand is looking to expand its exclusive stores to 35 by next year.
