Growth target takes Kimaya beyond metros

Fashion aggregator, Kimaya, which houses labels from all the leading designers in the country is now looking beyond the metros to add real growth to the revenue turnover. It expects to mark about 40% of its overall revenue from tier II-III cities in the next 2 years.

According to Pradeep Hirani, chairman of Kimaya, the fashion market is growing rapidly and the trend is not limited to metros, as it was five years ago. But with the rise in disposable income, fashion consciousness has begun to spread to tier II cities.

The company is foraying in these regions after analysing the growth prospects. It is planning to open 4-5 stores in cities like Jaipur, Ludhiana, Surat and Chandigarh.

Kimaya competes with fashion brands like Ensemble, Melange, Ogaan and Sangsara. The Kimaya assortment includes leading names like Rohit Bal, Suneet Varma, Tarun Tahiliani, Manish Malhotra, and Anamika Khanna to name a few.
