Toy brand, Hamleys, is planning to give Indian touch to its products by making India-centric toys with price points that can suit all pockets. Probably, world-renowned Barbie Dolls might have local variant with more Indian attires. The brand is trying to tap the Indian market before going to other places. The British toy retailer has a 20-year-franchise agreement with Reliance Retail, which will set up 20 stores in the first seven years of the agreement. As per the company spokesperson, the market is very price sensitive. Keeping this in mind, the company is working with its Indian partner Reliance Retail to create a range of toys which will cater to people from all walks of life
