JewelsNext enters m- commerce segment
JewelsNext enters m- commerce segment announces the entry in to m-commerce segment. It has becomes the first online jewellery site to be available on Android in India.  Keeping the consumer’s desire of buying and non-availability of time, the online jewellery retailer planned to venture into the m-commerce segment as a part of its expansion plans. Consumers can easily install Android applications on their mobile device, free of charge.
Speaking on the occasion, Gaurav S Issar, CEO, said, “Android is the platform of growth. The base provided by Android is certainly huge. People looking for ubiquity will definitely go for it. We are a marketplace model in place and access to over one lakh designs and expanding we aim to reach to maximum stretch of India and the world. User friendliness and engagement is also more on mobile since we don’t need to open a laptop and wait to get to the site. User has now access to lakhs of jewellery designs from across India at the tip of his finger. Consumers all over the world will have an access to on Android.”
Issar further added, “ is targeting at double digit growth in overall revenues in FY13. JewelsNext is doing an average of 50-55 transactions per day with ticket size in the range of INR 20,000-75,000. With these innovative trends and many yet to come, online portals are expected to capture about 25 percent of the overall USD 16 billion gems and jewellery business (both organized and unorganized) in the next 6-7 years. Now after the integration of on Android application, JewelsNext hopes to cross the 100 transactions a day mark, further adding to the projected turnover.”
