Consumer durable company, LG Electronics India, aims to sell more than 12, 00,000 units of air conditioners this year, a 50% increase from last years 800,000 units, said Vijay Babu Head-RAC, LG Electronics India.
The company launched 59 new models of inverter split air conditioner which according to the company are 100% ISEER (Indian Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) compliant.
Babu further said, "Our market share in Inverter AC segment is 53% and through consistent consumer awareness we will target to create a huge base. Expected market size of inverter AC in 2018 is 31,00,000 units (which is a growth of 116%)."
The company currently has its manufacturing units in Noida and Pune with a total capacity to roll-out 14,00,000 units annually.
From LG LED televisions, LG Smart LED sets to LG UHD LED sets, dealer prices have increased in the range of 1.3 to 7% in the western region. In Delhi/NCR region, prices have gone up marginally by under 2%
