Micromax, an Indian consumer electronics company has announced its partnership with OYO, an Indian hotel brand that owns and operates as well as aggregates standardized hotel rooms, to deliver tech-enabled hotel booking experience to Micromax customers.
Micromax users will be able to avail exclusive deals through their Micromax handsets and also get instant updates for exclusive OYO offers.
In a statement produced by the company, Rahul Sharma, Co-founder, Micromax, said, "Micromax will now offer hotel stay across 200 cities in India with exclusive offers deeply integrated in Micromax in-house platforms such as 'Around-Steroid Launcher' and a full 'OYO App Experience' to its users."
Customers can also enjoy OYO's recently introduced early check-in at hotels across the country.
The company said, "OYO and Micromax will work together to provide simplified user interface, special discount offers and a seamless booking experience right through the device itself."
The company is mulling over its strategy relating to SoftBank-backed OYO, which has emerged as a real contender to the country’s online travel players.
MakeMyTrip’s decision to bet on OYO Rooms is the latest in a series of moves aimed at cementing its partnership with the SoftBank-backed company.
The offer is valid for bookings made between July 11 and July 15, with check-in period between July 11 and August 31. Travelers can select OYO hotels at lowest-prices in destinations such as Goa, Jaipur, Manali, Shimla, Nainital, Ooty, Munnar, Coorg, and
