Movenpick restarts Indian operations

Swiss-based ice cream brand Movenpick has restarted its operations here with a new distribution partner - Star Foods and it has recently opened cafes at Chennai and Kolkata. In addition, this premium brand  is looking at expanding to New Delhi and Mumbai, coupled with several Tier-II cities during this financial year.  A single scoop of Movenpick is priced at around Rs 150 and despite the sharp decline in the rupee over the past few weeks, this brand will stick to its current pricing policy. Tarun Sikka, Director, Star Foods Speciality, said, “We have restarted Movenpick’s operations here and would expand our network via the cafe model.”
