The Flipkart- owned fashion e-tailer, Myntra has appointed Jeyandran Venugopal as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) after former CTO, Ajit Narayanan, resigned from the company.
Venugopal will join Myntra next week and report to the company CEO, Ananth Narayanan.
Before joining Myntra, Venugopal had founded Eclinic24, a healthcare startup. He has also had stints at companies like Amazon and Yahoo.
Ananth Narayanan, CEO, Myntra-Jabong, said, "Venugopal joins us at a crucial phase when Myntra is treading firmly on its path to profitability. We have always laid emphasis on having a strong leadership and his appointment brings that to the fore."
In 2015, Venugopal, was an advisor to the online marketplace, Snapdeal.
XYST has earned a loyal following for its research-backed and derma-certified skincare products, which will now be more accessible through major e-commerce platforms.
As both established and emerging players compete to capture this demographic, the challenge lies in exceeding the expectations of these trend-conscious shoppers.
Sinha, who successfully led Myntra to achieve EBITDA-level profitability earlier this year, will now oversee the fashion division of Flipkart, Myntra's sister company.
The launch aligns with Myntra’s new advertising campaign, ‘Great Gifts for Great Gift Givers.’
