Olive oil sales rising at Big Bazaar

Big Bazaar, a Future Group retail chain, is seeing an exponential growth in the sales of olive oil. According to Kishore Biyani, Chairman of Future Group, these sales are likely to double every year and cross Rs 100 crore in 2014 at Big Bazaar outlets. The retail group will take the lead in promoting olive oil for its health properties to the Indian consumer and create awareness by emphasizing its application in Indian meals. To popularise olive oil, Biyani advocated the mention of olive oil as the cooking medium in restaurants, and by caterers at wedding ceremonies and banquets.
