Speciality Restaurants Private Limited (SRPL), which owns the Mainland China brand of food outlets, will soon add a South Indian eatery chain to its bouquet of offerings.
The company claims to have lined up investments of Rs 100 crore, in the next 18 months, for expansion. The company is in talks with two South Indian food chains for possible acquisition. Besides the acquisition, the company also plans to add 40 more outlets, to increase the total number of outlets to 100, by the end of 2010.
The company plans to come out with an initial public offering in 2012. The company registered a turnover of Rs 140 crore in 2008-09, and Rs 200 crore in 2009-10.
