Tata Tea’s sales and marketing head Sangeeta Talwar, who was behind the firm’s social
marketing campaign ‘Jaago Re’, has quit to pursue other opportunities.
The company insiders directed , “Ms Talwar has expressed her interest to move to the
non-profit sector, which the company respects. Alternate arrangements are in progress
and when the board takes a decision we will communicate it to the media.”
Ms Talwar began her career with packaged food company Nestle India in the marketing
department, where she was one of the members behind the launch of its instant noodles
brand Maggi in the country.
An IIM-Calcutta alumnus, she had joined the world’s second largest packaged tea
company six years ago, after working as the CEO of toy giant, Mattel for the South Asian
market for two years.
