Walmart committed to expand cash and carry business in India

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Washington D.C on Sunday immediately after attending CEOs Roundtable with Mr Modi at Washington, DC. Walmart India CEO Krish Iyer was also present on this ovation along with several senior officials from the Govt of India, including NSA Ajit Doval, Foreign Secreatary Mr S. Jayashankar, Indian Ambassador to US Mr Navtej Sarna. 

On this meeting with PM Modi,  Doug McMillon said, "We had an engaging conversation with Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India. Talked to him about our growth plans for cash and carry business in the country and our commitment to create shared value through sustainable agriculture, the environment, women’s empowerment, direct farming and helping small businesses to succeed."During the meeting, Walmart India CEO Krish Iyer also appreciated the bold reforms such as GST, which are being carried out by the government.
