Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5, Pro Mi TV 4 in India.

Chinese electronics and smartphone manufacturer major Xiaomi today launched Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro smart handsets along with Mi TV 4 in India. The new devices were launched at an in New Delhi and the Chinese smartphone seller also put on a live stream the launch event on its website and Mi.com.

After the great success of its Note series, Xiaomi has come up with Redmi Note 5, which is the successor to last year’s Redmi Note 4. Flipkart will exclusively be selling the phone online in India.

In India the phone’s varients will be sold for Rs 9,999 for 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option. Meanwhile, the upcoming Mi TV 4 will also be exclusive to Flipkart and it costs Rs 39,999.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has specifications almost similar to its predecessor Note 4 except for a Full View 18:9 aspect ratio display. The higher-end 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of Redmi Note 5 has been prized Rs 11,999. The Pro variant of Note 5 is even more expensive and starts at Rs 13,999 for the base 4GB RAM option, while the 6GB RAM version costs Rs 16,999. The storage for both the variants is 64GB.  An aspect ratio of18:9 displays, the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and a dual rear camera setup are the only changes brought to the Note category.

The new launches will be available for sale on the e-seller as well as the Xiomi’s own websites and home stores from February 22, Mi.com and Mi Home stores. People who buy Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro will get Rs 2200 instant cashback and 100 per cent additional data from Reliance Jio.
