Third Wave Coffee (TWC), manufacturer and distributor of easy coffee bags, has launched a new outlet at Sahakarnagar, Bengaluru, announced Sripad Rao, Business Development South India, Third Wave Coffee in a LinkedIn post. The newly opened store is the brand’s 43rd outlet in Bengaluru and 87th in the country.
Bengaluru-based Third Wave Coffee is founded by Sushant Goel, Ayush Bathwal, and Anirudh Sharma in 2016. The coffee brand is run by Heisetasse Beverages Private Ltd., an Indian company that has cafes across different Indian cities namely Hyderabad, Coonoor, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, and Pune.
The name Third Wave Coffee takes its inspiration from the “Third Wave Movement” that began in the US during the 1990s. It was a movement that changed how coffee was brewed by focusing on high-quality and single-origin beans.
TWC offers a blend of Arabica coffee and beans sourced from 14 different estates in North Karnataka that are brewed at its own fully equipped center. The brand also offers several specially crafted blends.
In November 2021, the QSR startup launched its flagship store in Delhi at the hip M-block market in Greater Kailash II. In June 2022, it opened another flagship store in Bengaluru, at Lavelle Road.
The coffee quick-service brand has raised $6 million in a series A funding round in 2021 and the brand used funds for a pan-India expansion. Within the span of two years, TWC has opened more than 60 outlets across India.
