Honda Cars records 63% growth

Beating the odds India’s leading manufacturer of premium cars Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has sold 8913 units during the month of August. This figure is much higher as compared to last year.  Last year company has sold 5470 units in August. Commenting on the monthly sales results, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. VP - Sales and Marketing, HCIL said, “HCIL overall sales volume during August 2013 was quite robust. With the onset of festival season in West and South India, we have tried to maximize the production of Honda Amaze during August to be able to speed up the deliveries.” If we look in model wise figures then Amaze has topped the chart with record sales of 6242; whereas, the sale of Accord was lowest with 62 units only.  The sales figure of other model includes, Brio- 1508, City- 953, CR-V-148.
